Pak Shing Hau Temple

Pak Shing Hau Temple

Grading: Grade 2 Historic Building

Pak Shing Hau, literally translated as "Marquess of the Northern City", is an honorary title bestowed upon Lo Pan, the patron deity of the construction industry. In 1867, during a major renovation of Hung Shing Temple on Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, a new two-storey building, known as Pak Shing Hau Temple, was erected immediately to its west. Pak Shing Hau Temple was originally dedicated to the worship of Lo Pan, and it is likely the oldest surviving temple in Hong Kong dedicated to him. The Temple was accorded historic building status (Grade 2) in December 2025.
