"Hand-in-Hand for Benevolence: 150 Years of History of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals of Hong Kong" won the "Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards 2023"

The Group commissioned Prof. LAU Chi Pang, Professor of Department of History cum Coordinator of the Hong Kong and South China Historical Research Programme, Lingnan University, to compile a history book of TWGHs in 2017. The book, published by City University of Hong Kong Press in March 2021 is in Chinese and the English title is "Hand-in-Hand for Benevolence: 150 Years of History of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals of Hong Kong". It was awarded the "Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards 2023" organised by the Hong Kong Publishing Professionals Society under the category of Social Science.
There are three chapters in the book, covering the Group's development of corporate governance, medical and health, education and community services, fund-raising, traditional services and property, as well as heritage conservation since its establishment to 2020. It also reflects how the Group responds to the rapidly changing society and addresses the needs of the people.
