"Shen Wei Pu You" Paper Weight
In 1877 and 1878, Northern China was struck by a severe drought which claimed over 10 million lives. Tung Wah raised $160,000 to provide the first-ever emergency relief to the victims in mainland China. A plaque with inscription meaning "God (referring to Guandi, God of Martial Arts) protects all" was bestowed by Qing Emperor Guangxu to Tung Wah.
